The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission (WRC) publishes brochures, pamphlets, and newsletters with information on Tarheel wildlife and their habitats, as well as technical guidance for landowners wishing to manage or provide habitat for wildlife on their lands.

NC Wildlife and Wildlife Management Publications: Covers the natural history, status, and management of Tarheel wildlife, including white-tailed deer, wild turkey, wild boar, small game, wood ducks, and beaver.

Habitat Management Publications: Useful information on establishing supplemental food plots, purchasing wildlife planting materials and restoring degraded streams.

Upland Gazette: A great way to keep apprised of small game issues in North Carolina

This five-part series, originally published in Wildlife in North Carolina in 2007, discusses the N.C. Wildlife Action Plan and how the plan is being implemented in different regions of the state. The final piece, entitled "A New Cooperation," outlines statewide projects and initiatives.
